Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Matt Smith reportedly set to join Swindon Town on loan.
According to BBC Wilshere Sport, Smith is moving to Swindon in League One on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Football.London has also covered the same report stating that the 19-year-old is making the loan move this summer.
Neither Arsenal nor Swindon have made an official announcement regarding Smith, but the League One club’s manager Richie Wellens has said on Talk of the Town on BBC Wilshere Sport that Smith “will be in training on Monday”, and that he is “a really talented footballer”.
The central midfielder is a very talented and promising young player who was on the substitutes’ bench for Arsenal’s FA Cup final against Chelsea this past season.
The youngster has been training with head coach Mikel Arteta’s first team after the restart, but he has yet to make his debut for the senior side.
Swindon won automatic promotion from League Two at the end of last season and will be looking to make an impact in League One in 2020-21.
Some Arsenal fans have given their reaction to speculation that Smith is joining Swindon.
