The QPR chairman posted on Twitter shortly after the Rs recorded their first win in four games, and Bhatia was naturally delighted.

Toni Leistner scored the games only goal after 64 minutes, giving QPR a much needed victory over their Championship rivals.

The summer recruit from FC Union Berlin scored his first QPR goal after Luke Freeman’s corner wasn’t properly dealt with, and the German centre-back fired home from close range.

Rangers didn’t have too much to do defensively but Reading did come close when they hit the post with the game still goalless.

The Royals offered little more than that and QPR boss Steve McClaren will be happy with his players, all of whom played their part in the crucial victory.
