Over the course of the 90 minutes at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon, hosts QPR had 43% of the possession, took 13 shots of which five were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Preston had 57% of the possession, took 13 shots of which six were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.

The loss to Preston means that QPR are now 13th in the Championship table with 39 points from 28 matches, seven points behind Derby County, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.

Rangers will return to action next weekend when they take on Portsmouth away from home in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
