Amido Balde was a £1.5m flop at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic and his globe-trotting career is showing no signs of slowing.

Celtic's Amido Balde trains during the Scottish Football League's first Celtic winter training camp Antalya, Turkey, January 8, 2014.

It seems that Amido Balde is on a quest to represent as many clubs as is humanly possible between now and the end of a rather bizarre career.

Now, the nomadic striker is best remembered, though not for the right reasons, for his ill-fated spell at Celtic between 2013 and 2015.

The Hoops paid £1.5 million to sign Balde from Vitoria Guimaraes, according to Scotzine, but to say he failed to live up to expectations would be an understatement.

The Guinea-Bissau international scored three times in 24 games for The Hoops and eventually found himself released, despite the fact that his contract still had two years left to run.

But has Balde settled down and found himself a place to call his home in the four years since? Not exactly.

Indonesian outfit Persebaya Surabaya announced the signing of Balde on their official Twitter account on Monday. In fact, they are now his seventh club since he bid farewell to Parkhead in the summer of 2015.

In the last four years, Balde has represented the likes of Metz, Maritimo and Al-Nasr while also plying his trade in Angola and Albania. And he is still just 27 years of age.

Though this is not to say his goalscoring record has got any more impressive since his short-lived spell in green and white came to an end.
