Rangers star James Tavernier invoked the ire of a former Celtic flop on Sunday.

Rangers fans, players and staff are in jubilant mood after beating Old Firm rivals Celtic on Sunday, with the fallout from the game continuing.
The Gers were excellent throughout at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon, and took an early lead when James Tavernier’s free kick missed everybody and nestled in the corner inside two minutes.
Celtic were slow, ponderous and couldn’t deal with Rangers’ intensity, so it was little surprise when Steven Gerrard’s men grabbed a second goal after the break.
Jermain Defoe brilliantly dummied Glen Kamara’s pass, and Scott Arfield was able to break into the box and score past Scott Bain to make it 2-0 – and that’s how it finished.
Rangers were deserved winners against a Celtic side who managed just one shot on target at Ibrox, and Gers players understandably wanted to celebrate after the final whistle.
Goalscorer and Rangers captain Tavernier celebrated by posting a tweet which included that ‘Glasgow is blue’, which didn’t exactly go down well with Celtic fans – or one of their former players.

Ex-Bhoys striker Amido Balde was hardly a roaring success at Parkhead, becoming something of a flop after a 2013 move from Vitoria Guimaraes as he scored three times in 24 games before moving on.
On Sunday, Balde took to Twitter to slam Tavernier, pointing out that he has yet to win the league since heading to Scotland so is in no position to claim that Glasgow is blue, reminding him that Glasgow is very much still green and white after Celtic won yet another title last weekend.
That unsurprisingly sparked joyous responses from Celtic fans, meaning Balde became something of an unlikely hero with Bhoys supporters on Sunday night, years after he was a flop at Parkhead.
