Tottenham Hotspur have been given further hope in their efforts to sign Jeremy Toljan amid Hoffenheim’s own transfer activity.

Portuguese newspaper Record report Benfica have abandoned their pursuit of Toljan because they believe the German right-back is Tottenham bound.

Hoffenheim have gone as far as identifying a replacement already, believing they may struggle to hold onto Toljan,

German newspaper BILD report Hoffenheim are keen on signing Borussia Dortmund youngster Felix Passlack.

The German under-19 international is seen as an ideal successor for the country’s under-21 star Toljan, and they are hopeful of getting him despite Dortmund wanting to keep Passlack.
