The Manchester United midfielder looks set to leave Old Trafford this summer, and could be just what Tottenham Hotspur need.

After falling out of favour under new manager, Jose Mourinho, Dutch international Daley Blind looks set to depart Manchester United this summer. A recent report in The Sun has suggested that Blind is all set for a move back to Ajax, after not being offered a new contract at Old Trafford.
Under Louis van Gaal, Blind became popular with Manchester United supporters. A hard-working, tough-tackling individual; Daley Blind has proven himself to be one of the most versatile players in the Premier League during his time with Manchester United, filling in at left-back, centre-back and in central midfield.
But should a player with such talent be allowed to leave the Premier League so easily? Daley Blind could do a number of jobs for a number of different Premier League teams, and one who should potentially take a look at the Dutch midfielder is Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs have recently been linked with a move for Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia by Italian news outlet Tuttomercato, and appear to be looking for a defensive-minded central midfielder this summer. French international Kondogbia would likely cost in the region of £20-30 million, so could a move for Daley Blind be much more financially sensible?

Blind could also help Tottenham Hotspur out at the back. The Dutchman could provide cover for Danny Rose and Ben Davies, as well as giving Mauricio Pochettino an option at centre-back, as a player who can distribute in the same way that Jan Vertonghen does – with uncertainty surrounding the future of Kevin Wimmer.
Blind would also add experience and leadership to this relatively young Tottenham Hotspur side. As the captain of the Netherlands national side, Daley Blind has proven to be a big character for his country, and also brings with him plenty of European football experience.
Cheaper and more versatile than Kondogbia, could Daley Blind be a potential bargain for Tottenham Hotspur this summer?
