West Ham fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Aston Villa are willing to meet the £40 million price tag for Chelsea striker, Tammy Abraham.
Both West Ham and Villa are seemingly in the hunt for his signature this summer after he endured a difficult campaign last time out, as reported by the Daily Mail.
But the Mirror have claimed that Villa are prepared to splash the cash on the England international this summer – and potentially break their transfer record again.
It wasn’t lack of form, fitness or quality that hurt Abraham last season, but not being given those minutes out on the field.
Even though he scored 15 Premier League goals two seasons ago, he had to then fall behind Mr Big-Money signings last season, which resulted in his career taking a step back.
But West Ham fans are mixed on the idea of putting big money on the table for his talents, even though Villa are willing to do so.
Although, some have pointed out that the Midlands giants are being ambitious in the quest to move forward once more next season.
Both Villa and West Ham have Ollie Watkins and Michail Antonio on their books, so they have that goalscoring threat upfront.

However, there’s no doubt that depth is needed and Abraham’s poaching talents would provide that and help elevate their squads.
It’s going to be interesting to see where he ends up this summer because if he does sign for Villa then it would be another record-breaking deal for the Midlands side.
They already broke their transfer record by signing Emi Buendia this summer, after doing just that last summer with Watkins.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of West Ham fans reacting to the Villa/Abraham rumour:
