Even some Tottenham fans have been left laughing after Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi claimed Heung-Min Son was one of the best players in the Premier League.
Guendouzi, who Arsenal have loaned out, may have not done his popularity at the Emirates Stadium too many favours by talking up a Tottenham player.
He said to the Oh My Goal Youtube channel, when asked who the best player in England is: “Kevin de Bruyne – he’s someone who is everywhere, with his passing quality, his vision of the game.
“I’d also say Son at Tottenham. He’s a player who does a lot of good for his team.”
And it’s fair to say that Tottenham fans were revelling about the quotes from £8 million man (Sky) on social media website Twitter.
Guendouzi’s answer may not have been too popular with some Arsenal supporters, but Son certainly has a claim to be one of the most dangerous attackers in England.
The South Korean’s runs from wide positions have been a major threat this season, and his link-up play with Harry Kane has been nothing short of outstanding.
Son has 13 goals and six assists for Tottenham in the Premier League to date, making this one of the most productive campaigns in his career so far.
Guendouzi, meanwhile, has been loaned out by Arsenal – with the French midfielder currently playing for Hertha Berlin, and seemingly well out of Arteta’s plans.
