Barcelona star Raphinha has told Georginio Rutter on Instagram to ‘enjoy this amazing club’ and ‘this amazing city’ after he joined Leeds United from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Leeds United, who are battling relegation this season, posted on their website that they have paid the German outfit a club-record fee for the 20-year-old striker.
When the deal was announced, Rutter posted on his IG that he is ‘excited’ to play for Leeds, with Raphinha posting the following message in the comments section: ‘Congratulations brother. Enjoy this amazing club and this amazing city’ added with a fire and heart emoji.
CAN RUTTER BRING SOME RAPHINHA MAGIC?
When Raphinha was at Leeds, the Brazil international lit up Elland Road for a number of seasons before heading for the exit door in the summer and joining Barcelona.
From his tricks and flicks, that lethal left foot or the ability to put an opposition player on their backside, Raphinha produced a number of outstanding performances for the Whites.
Supporters will be hoping Rutter can have a similar impact, because if the does, then Leeds will climb up the Premier League table.
At this moment in time, they are hovering two points above the drop zone after their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Friday night.
