Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United will reportedly not be able to sign Sacha Boey.

According to Aksam, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in signing Sacha Boey from Galatasaray in the summer transfer window

The report in the Turkish news outlet has claimed that Spurs have made contact regarding a potential move for Boey.

Newcastle are following the 22-year-old French right-back.

However, the youngster will not move to Tottenham or Newcastle this summer.

Aksam has claimed that Galatasaray have decided to keep Boey, described as “amazing” by former Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna in SportingPost in April 2023.

The Turkish giants, who won the 2022–23 Süper Lig title last season, do not want to sell any of their key players, as they aim to progress to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League next campaign.

Newcastle United need Sacha Boey more than Tottenham Hotspur

In our opinion, Newcastle United will be more disappointed than Tottenham Hotspur that Sacha Boey will stay at Galatasaray.

Spurs do not need another right-back, Newcastle could do with one.

Pedro Porro, Emertson Royal and Djed Spence are the three main options at right-back for Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Kieran Trippier is the number one right-back at Newcastle at the moment.

Emil Krafth and Javier Manquillo have not been particularly great for the Magpies, while Harrison Ashby is only 21 and could leave on loan.

Boey made 31 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray last season.

The 22-year-old scored one goal and gave four assists in those games.

Newcastle will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after finishing in the top four of the Premier League table last campaign.

The Magpies are aiming to make themselves regulars among Europe’s elite and play in the UEFA Champions League season after season.
