Sacha Boey will reportedly not move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

According to Aksam, Arsenal are interested in signing Sacha Boey from Galatasaray in the summer transfer window.

The report in the Turkish news outlet has claimed that Arsenal have made contact regarding a potential move for Boey.

However, Galatasaray have made the decision to keep the 22-year-old right-back.

The Turkish giants do not want to sell any of their best and most important players, and that includes Boey, described as “amazing” by former Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna in SportingPost in April 2023.

Galatasaray won the 2022–23 Süper Lig title and could play in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League next season.

Arsenal do not need to sign Sacha Boey

In our opinion, Arsenal need not sign Sacha Boey in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have already secured the services of Jurrien Timber from Ajax this summer.

Like Boey, Timber is 22.

And the Netherlands international can operate as a central defender or as a right-back.

Timber scored two goals and gave two assists in 34 Eredivisie matches for Ajax last season.

Of course, Arsenal should continue to keep tabs on Boey.

If the Gunners were interested in the Frenchman this summer, then it is likely that the North London club will keep tabs on him.

After all, Boey is only 22 and could develop and progress further in the coming years.

Boey made 31 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray last season.

The 22-year-old scored one goal and gave four assists in those games.

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League table last season and will be determined to win the title ahead of defending champions Manchester City next campaign.
