Following the signings of Harvey Elliott, Ki-Jana Hoever, Sepp van den Berg and others, it’s clear that Liverpool have one eye on the next generation.
According to CBS Sports, the Reds could be about to sign another wonderkid, as FC Dallas forward Ricardo Pepi is eyed.
What’s the story?
Well, the 18-year-old is attracting interest from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax and Inter Milan after rising to fame in the United States.
Pepi has already won two caps for the United States, in which he’s scored three goals and also provided two assists.
The United States National Team boss, Gregg Berhalter, sounds just as excited about the teenager as we are.
Goal quote him as saying: “It’s amazing. An 18-year-old gets an opportunity and takes advantage. What you see and what I really like is that he has this instinct, and it’s really hard to teach that to players. He has an instinct to score.”
Pepi has scored 13 goals in 27 Major League Soccer appearances for FC Dallas, and looks to be a real gem.

CBS Sports believe FC Dallas would consider an offer in the region of $12m – $15m (£9m – 11m).
Liverpool can sign the next Robert Lewandowski in Ricardo Pepi
Interestingly, Pepi has been compared to one of the best strikers to ever play the game – Robert Lewandowski.
As Goal detail, he has been likened to the Bayern Munich hitman, who scored 48 goals in 40 appearances last season.

Goal add that he has also been compared to Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Braut Håland.
If he can become even a third of the player Lewandowski is, it would be worth Liverpool bringing him to Anfield.
After nurturing the likes of Mario Götze and Trent Alexander-Arnold to stardom, Jürgen Klopp could be about to do the same with Pepi.
