Speaking on the UMM YouTube channel, Aymeric Laporte has been full of praise for reported Liverpool target Pedri.
The Spanish midfielder is Laporte’s teammate at international level, and the Manchester City man has claimed that he’s one of the best young players he’s ever seen.
Pedri is a player that Liverpool have admired over the past 12 months, they held talks over signing him around a year ago, and links have been persistent since then as Liverpool have kept an eye on his progress.
However, with the midfielder signing a new contract in October, a move this summer seems unlikely, but it’s clear to see that the Reds are admirers of this talent.
What’s been said about Pedri?
Laporte was full of praise for the Barcelona star.
“Yeah, I think he’s one of the best, I would say that is true. There are a lot of young players who are playing amazing right now, but I would say he is one of them, 100 per cent,” Laporte said.

Whether or not Pedri ends up coming to the Premier League or not remains to be seen, but as Laporte says, this is an amazingly talented young player.
There’s a reason he was a Barcelona and Spain regular at just 18 years of age, Pedri is a mercurial talent with an attitude that could take him to the very top.
Pedri is the type of player who loves to take the game by the scruff of the neck, and he has the skills to outwit and out skill any midfield.
Liverpool have an eye on this young man, and he could be a perfect Thiago Alcantara replacement in the coming years.
