Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has claimed that he wants his kids to follow in the footsteps of the ‘amazing’ Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe, as he told Sky Sports.
The Hale-End academy product was on the scoresheet during Arsenal’s North London derby win on Sunday.
It was a day to remember for the boyhood Arsenal fan, who lived the dream of many, many Gooners in the stands at the Emirates yesterday and those watching around the world.
Only 12 months ago, Smith Rowe wasn’t even part of Mikel Arteta’s first-team plans, but now he is one of the first names on the team sheet.
And Aubameyang has claimed that ‘Arsenal can be proud’ of the young players like Smith Rowe and the manner in which they play and conduct themselves.
“Arsenal can be proud of these boys,” said Aubameyang. “They are great guys. They are doing well.
“I am happy my kids will go to Hale End and maybe they will be like him.
“When you have boys like this, they always listen and are always ready to learn, so it’s really easy. I try to give them some advice.
“But, the most important, is that they feel free when they play and this is what they did today. That’s why they are doing amazing.”

The dark clouds are slowly drifting away above the Emirates Stadium and heading towards Hotspur Way.
Whilst Arsenal fans will enjoy the light shining on their team, they are well aware that they are one defeat away from those clouds returning once again.
But yesterday, Arteta’s men rolled back the years and produced a performance the top-quality Arsenal sides of old would have been proud of.
The biggest challenge now is showcasing that over a longer period, because if they can, then European football might be back on the cards for the club.
