Trent Alexander-Arnold has honestly stated that Aston Villa have a ‘very good’ players and ‘amazing’ players, as he told Premier League Productions.
Liverpool beat Villa 1-0 at Anfield over the weekend and Alexander-Arnold shared how life was ‘tough’ against the Midlands side.
Alexander-Arnold has been wreaking havoc against many teams this season and has played a huge part in why Liverpool are the top scorers in the Premier League this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have scored 45 goals from their 16 matches, but they weren’t able to score from open play against Villa and had to rely on Mo Salah firing them to victory from the penalty spot.
Given the defensive quality Villa showcased on the day, they would have been disappointed to lose out to a penalty, as Alexander-Arnold spoke highly about the club.
“Since Stevie has come in as a manager,” said Alexander-Arnold. “He has had some really good results.
“It looks like they have transformed and turned their season around. They have a very good squad. They have amazing players.
“So, we knew it was going to be a tough game. We knew we were going to have to dig deep. They sat off and let us have the ball a bit and made it hard for us.”

Liverpool fans gave Villa manager Steven Gerrard a warm welcome upon his return to Merseyside.
And now the Villa supporters will be doing the same towards Dean Smith when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Tuesday night.
Gerrard has only suffered two defeats since replacing Smith in the dugout – both against Premier League title challengers and both by a one-goal margin.
But tomorrow’s night game is going to be very interesting from a tactical standpoint because Smith purchased 95% of the Villa players, so he knows them inside out.
Plus, the Villa players know exactly how he likes to set-up, so that might provide them with a tactical advantage.
