Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has been consulted over signing Aaron Ramsey from Juventus in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

The report has claimed that Newcastle want to sign former Arsenal star Ramsey this month.

Amanda Staveley has consulted Howe over signing Ramsey, according to the report.

The Daily Mail has added that Howe has other priorities and is ‘also mindful of disrupting the wage structure’.

Could Aaron Ramsey to Newcastle happen?

In our opinion, it is unlikely that Ramsey will end up at Newcastle in the January transfer window.

Yes, a move could happen in the summer of 2022 if Newcastle stay in the Premier League, but, no, not right now.

That is our view.

Newcastle are in real trouble of getting relegated to the Championship.

We do not think that Ramsey, 31, would be inclined to make a move to a club who may not be in the Premier League next season.

Of course, anything is possible in the world of football, especially in the January transfer window.

But we think that Newcastle should not waste too much time and energy on trying to bring Ramsey to St. James’ Park in the middle of the season.
