Napoli youngster Amadou Diawara is reportedly on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Amadou Diawara is one of the best defensive midfielders in Serie A, and there is no surprise that Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with the Napoli ace.
According to CalcioNapoli24, Wolves are interested in signing Diawara from Napoli in the January transfer window.
A report on talkSPORT.com claimed earlier this month that Tottenham are looking at securing the services of the 21-year-old defensive midfielder.
The agent of Diawara has commented on the future of the Guinea international, and has outlined what it would take to prise his client away from Napoli.
TuttoMercatoWeb quotes Diawara’s agent, Daniele Piraino, as saying: “Napoli consider him a top player.”
Piraino added: “Naples will not accept proposals of less than €50 million (£44.24m), a figure for great players.
“Moreover, if Diawara were to leave, then he would do so only for a club of equal or better renown, with similar objectives, and not to take a step back.”
Promising talent
Diawara is struggling for playing time at the moment, and has made just four starts and only two substitute appearances in Serie A for Napoli so far this season, according to WhoScored.
However, there is no doubt that the defensive midfielder is a hugely talented midfielder, and the 21-year-old is only going to get better in the coming years.
Napoli are aiming to win Serie A this season and are also attempting to progress to the last-16 stage of the Champions League.
