Wolverhampton Wanderers fans will expect a promotion challenge this term, and the signing of Lazio’s midfield maestro could boost their chances.
New Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Walter Zenga
Wolves have embarked on an exciting new era under new ambitious ownership and the management of Walter Zenga.
They have made an encouraging start to the new Championship campaign, going unbeaten during the first three matches, managing two draws and a win.
There is still much room for improvement, however, and with two-weeks still remaining before the transfer window closes, Zenga still has plenty of time to identify targets and strengthen his squad further.
The Italian should consider making a move for Lazio’s maverick midfielder Ravel Morrison.
Ravel Morrison on the substitutes bench
The 23-year-old former Manchester United and West Ham star has barely featured for the Serie A side since his move to Italy last summer, and has made only one start for the club.
He is such a highly talented individual that, despite all of his previous off-field problems, he would still be worth taking a risk on.
For all of the hard-working team players that Wolves have in their team, they do seem to lack that little bit of magic and creativity from midfield. They are in need of a game-changer who can turn a match in an instant, and Morrison would be the ideal candidate to fill that role.

The Lazio man has an abundance of flair, and whilst he has been criticised for his poor attitude in the past, there are just not that many players out there capable of doing the things he can on a football pitch.
A change of scenery and a fresh start at the Molineux Stadium could benefit Morrison, and now he is of a more mature age, he might just be at the stage of his career where he begins to knuckle down and show the world what he is truly capable of.
If this turns out to be the case, what a signing he could prove to be for Wolves, should they consider a move for the enigmatic midfielder.
