Wolverhampton Wanderers kicked off their Championship campaign yesterday with a 2-2 draw away at Rotherham United.
The Midlands club are under new management following the appointment of Walter Zenga last week, and expectations have been dramatically heightened due to the ambitious rhetoric emanating from the new owners.
Yesterday’s draw, however, further highlighted the need for Zenga to strengthen his options, with a severe lack of left-sided players at the Italian’s disposal.
An ideal acquisition for the Molineux club would be Tottenham Hotspur’s fringe player Nabil Bentaleb.

The 21-year-old Algerian possesses every attribute required to be a success at the highest level in the game, but his opportunities for first-team football at White Hart Lane have been limited recently and he only made five Premier League appearances last term for the Lilywhites.
The naturally gifted left-footed youngster has a fantastic range of passing, and a wonderful knack of being able to receive the ball in tight spaces and re-distribute the football in a composed, unhurried manner.

Another string to Bentaleb’s bow is his vision, which is a key part of his game. He is most comfortable sitting in front of the back-four, dictating the tempo of a game from deep.
Should a move ever come to fruition, Zenga’s side would be a far stronger prospect with the Algerian present, and in turn their chances of being involved in the promotion mix would greatly increase.
