West Ham’s Diego Poyet would be a fantastic loan signing for Queens Park Rangers.
QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
Queens Park Rangers began their Championship campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over Leeds United on Sunday, but after the game Hoops boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink outlined his desire to strengthen his squad.
The West London club allowed midfielder Alejandro Faurlín to leave the club after the expiration of his contract and now find themselves short of an accomplished passer who can dictate the tempo of the game from a deep-lying role.
As a result Rangers should consider a move for West Ham United’s talented young midfielder Diego Poyet.
West Ham’s Diego Poyet
Despite his lack of first-team opportunities, Poyet is still highly regarded at West Ham, so a season-long loan move could be beneficial for all parties concerned.
The 21-year-old plays in the deep-lying play-maker role and is a wonderfully accomplished passer of the football. He is comfortable receiving the ball in tight areas and he does not panic under pressure from the opposition.
He has a terrific array of attributes that would be perfectly suited to a Hasselbaink side, and while he is a technically gifted footballer, he is not afraid of putting a shift in and has a great knack of breaking up the opposition’s build-up play.

Poyet has spent the last two season’s away from the Hammers on loan at three different clubs.
Given the opportunity of regular first-team football, he could prove to be a fantastic asset at Loftus Road should a move come to fruition.
