West Ham embarked on their first pre-season tour to the US this summer.
West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell was a stand-out performer last term for the club
West Ham United are currently on their pre-season tour in America, spending time at NFL franchise Seattle Seahawks’ state-of-the-art training complex, and two of their stars took to social networking site Twitter to praise the facilities.
The Hammers lost their opening friendly fixture against the Seattle Sounders 3-0 after putting in a damp squib of a performance, but it did not have an adverse effect on the players’ enthusiasm.
Mark Noble spoke highly on the clubs US training base
Club captain Mark Noble and left-back Aaron Cresswell took to Twitter to praise the impressive facilities that the Hammers have been using as a base over the past week, and highlighted how they have enhanced their preparations for the new season:
West Ham fans will be hoping their sluggish opening performance was not a sneak preview of what is yet to come, in a season where a lot will be expected of Slaven Bilic’s men.
Their move to the Olympic Stadium has increased their profile as a club, and because of this they are being linked to some of Europe’s best players.
Slaven Bilic will be hoping to see the fruits of West Ham’s hard pre-season labour in America
Bilic already has a fantastic squad of players at his disposal, however, and the Croatian will be hoping the pre-season trip to the US will have the desired effect in helping his team reach peak physical conditions before the start of the new Premier League campaign.
