Playing for the Hammers’ under-23 side last night against Coventry City, Martinez scored both goals in his side’s 4-2 defeat, but no one can blame the the Spaniard for feeling happy with himself this morning after he scored this incredible goal, posted to the club’s official Twitter page:

With the West Ham’s striker issues well-documented, if the former Valencia man can continue to show this kind of form, who knows how much of a say he will have in the Hammers’ 2016/17 Premier League campaign.

Martinez boasts an impressive goal record, and scored over 100 goals in four seasons for Valencia’s youth team and the youngster has already bagged five goals for the Hammers under-23’s this term.

If he carries on showing the form he has one so far, the transfer fee paid by West Ham for his services will be money very well spent.
