Harvey Elliott is doing a stellar job of keeping Liverpool fans updated with his recovery.
The 18-year-old dynamo suffered a horrific ankle injury against Leeds United back in September.
It remains to be seen how long he’ll be sidelined for Liverpool but, given the seriousness of the injury, Jurgen Klopp might not be able to call on him for a while.
But Elliott’s attitude and mentality since the injury has been astounding.
And on Wednesday evening, he shared footage of himself doing some underwater work to strengthen the foot.
Here’s how some Liverpool fans are reacting to the video on Twitter:
Big miss
It’s perhaps a huge testament to the player that Liverpool fans miss him so much.
And that’s because despite his age, Klopp does miss him.
At the time of his injury, Elliott was a fully-fledged member of the German manager’s best XI, which made this injury all the more tragic.
Liverpool are still unbeaten since losing the former Fulham youth, but there’s a little less flair in midfield because of his absence and no doubt Klopp will want him back as soon as possible.
When he got back from his loan at Blackburn during the summer, Elliott consistently stated that he was good enough to compete in Klopp’s senior squad.
And given what we saw prior to his injury, he was spot-on.
This is an insanely-talented, confident lad and his hunger to get back to full fitness will stand him in brilliant stead.
