Tottenham Hotspur’s Josh Onomah could be an ideal loan signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Isco is one of many potential Spurs targets
Tottenham have been linked with a plethora of exciting attacking players throughout the course of this summer, including Real Madrid’s Isco (Express) and Schalke youngster Maximilian Meyer (Bild).
If they do manage to land one of their prime targets, along with the imminent arrival of Georges-Kevin N’Koudou (Evening Standard), young Spurs talent Josh Onomah could potentially find his first-team opportunities limited.
Despite the 19-year-old being highly regarded at White Hart Lane, a year of sitting on the substitutes bench will not be beneficial for either him or the club, and Tottenham should consider loaning out their England under-19 international.
Wolves could be the ideal place for the teenager to ply his trade.
Tottenham’s Josh Onomah in action
The Molineux outfit have made a solid, if not spectacular, start to their Championship campaign, and currently sit in ninth position in the table after two wins, two draws and a loss from their opening five games.
They have managed to score just seven goals in those five games, and could most certainly do with an added goal that from midfield or out wide.
Onomah is perfectly capable of playing in the middle of the park or out in a wide attacking role on either side of the pitch.
He has explosive pace, and is comfortable in possession of the football. He possesses a keen eye for a killer pass, and is not afraid to shoot from distance.
Tottenham’s Joshua Onomah
His presence would instantly lift the Wolves side, and make them are far more threatening proposition in the final third.
A loan move to the Molineux would allow Onomah to improve his skills even further with the chance of regular first-team football, and the aggressive, high-tempo nature of the Championship would also help him develop the physical side of his game.
If a move comes to fruition, it would benefit all parties involved, and with the clock ticking before the transfer window slams, discussions will need to be initiated sooner rather than later.
