West Ham United’s Andre Ayew has been ruled out with a long-term injury, and Sevilla’s Yevhen Konoplyanka could be the ideal replacement.
Andre Ayew suffered a long-term injury during his Premier League debut for the Hammers
With the unfortunate news that West Ham’s new record signing Andre Ayew has been ruled out for four months after injuring his thigh in the Hammers’ 2-1 loss at Chelsea on Monday night (Daily Mail), Slaven Bilic must ensure that he brings in another top-class signing to replace the Ghanaian.
The transfer window slams shut on August 31st, so the Croatian will have to move decisively, with most of Europe’s best players having either already moved or committed their future’s to their respective clubs.
An ideal option for West Ham would be Sevilla’s Yevhen Konoplyanka.

It would be an ambitious move for the East London outfit to consider, with no Champions League football on offer, unlike the Ukranian’s current cub.
The Hammers are a club on the up, however, with their stock rising within the game. Their new London Stadium is a major attraction, and having someone like Dimitri Payet within their ranks should highlight their ambition to potential transfer targets.
Konoplyanka would improve Bilic’s side instantly, with his explosive pace and tremendous dribbling skills. He is most comfortable playing wide on the left, and can cut inside on to his right or take on the full-back around the outside before using his impressive technique to whip dangerous balls into the box.
Yevhen Konoplyanka
He only made 15 La Liga starts for Sevilla last term, however, so there is chance that the Spanish side could consider him as dispensable.
The 26-year-old’s style of play is direct in nature and is perfectly suited to the Premier League. If a move to the Hammers came to fruition, and he was to achieve regular first-team football, there is little doubt that he would be anything other than a resounding success In East London.
Will West Ham manager Slaven Bilic look to replace the injured Ayew?
