Aston Villa are in advanced talks with Bristol City over the proposed signing of Ivorian striker Jonathan Kodjia, according to BBC Sport.
Villa have been linked with a plethora of strikers throughout the summer transfer window and have already added Ross McCormack to their squad for a reported fee of £12 million.
The BBC report claims that the potential deal to sign Kodjia could rise to £15 million, which would represent an incredible profit for the Robins, who bought him from French side Angers for a meagre £2 million.

The 26-year-old’s impressive displays for his club last term has led to him being a wanted man this summer, with the BBC claiming Derby County and Hull City were also interested in signing him.
He scored 19 goals in 45 Championship outings during the 2015/16 season for the Ashton Gate outfit, and his Championship pedigree would certainly appeal to any side trying to gain promotion to the Premier League.

The BBC Report also states that Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown placed a £10 million price-tag on Kodjia earlier in August and said he would not be sold to a fellow Championship side.
His resolve to commit to that promise will certainly be tested with Villa’s reported offer.
