Liverpool have been linked with Gremio striker Luan throughout the course of the summer.

Liverpool have made a bid of £30 million for Gremio forward Luan, according to Brazilian radio station Futebol da Gaucha, and reported via the Independent.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Anfield all summer long, and with Gremio vice-president Alberto Guerra admitting that the club will consider offers for Luan (Independent), the Brazilian could be on his way to Merseyside, if his club deem Liverpool’s reported offer as acceptable.

The Reds do have plenty of options in forward areas, although they have just sold Christian Benteke to Crystal Palace, so it could be argued that there is a squad gap that needs to be filled.
Luan’s versatility would be a great benefit to the Merseyside outfit, and would offer Jurgen Klopp a variety of options in forward areas. He can play as a midfielder, an attacking midfielder, a winger or as an out-and-out striker.

The report suggests that Manchester United were also interested in Luan, but Liverpool have now moved ahead of their bitter rivals by making a concrete offer.
With just two days left before the transfer window closes, a star signing would be a definite boost to a Liverpool side that have managed just four points from an opening three games.
