Leicester City will be hoping to make quality additions to their squad ahead of their title defence.
Burnley’s Michael Keane
The Daily Mirror understand that Leicester City are ready to make a final take it or leave it offer of £15 million to Burnley to secure the services of Michael Keane.
The Mirror report that the Clarets have already rejected two bids of £10 and £12 million from the Foxes for the 23-year-old defender, with Sean Dyche determined to keep hold of his man.
Keane moved to Burnley on loan in 2014 before completing a permanent switch in January 2015 and instantly became a pivotal member of Dyche’s side.
He played 44 games in the Lancashire outfit’s Championship campaign last term, and helped his side towards the second best defensive record in the league.
Claudio Ranieri will want to strengthen his squad as the prepare to defend their Premier League crown
Claudio Ranieri will have to bolster his defensive options if he expects his side to sustain a respectable Premier League title defence.
Robert Huth and Wes Morgan are already on the wrong side of 30 and back up centre-half Marcin Wasilewski has proven that he is not of the standard required at the top level.
Keane would be a useful addition to the Foxes setup
Keane would be a fantastic addition to the champions’ squad, but would also represent a good deal for Burnley, and the Turf Moor outfit would surely find it hard to resist an offer the size of the one mooted.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche will not want to lose Keane
