PSG’s star forward is attracting interest from some of Europe’s best, with his contract due to expire in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle has urged his old club’s fiercest rivals Arsenal to make a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer.

Writing his column for The Daily Mail, Hoddle claims he would love to see the Swede in the Premier League.

“Even though Zlatan Ibrahimovic did not fare too well against Manchester City on Tuesday I would still love to see him come to the Premier League next season,” Hoddle wrote.

The 34-year-old has been in fantastic form this season, scoring 41 goals in 41 games for his club, and Hoddle feels he would improve any side.

“You couldn’t argue with the fact that he would improve Arsenal,” he said. “Likewise Chelsea.”

Although the former Spurs midfielder thinks one stumbling block to the move could be Arsène Wenger’s perceived reluctance to pay the salary required to tempt Ibrahimovic:

“You can’t see Arsene Wenger spending the millions of pounds required in wages to bring a 34-year-old to the Emirates.”

The former Barcelona and AC Milan striker would provide the Gunners with a dash of winning mentality they so desperately lack.

He would also bring a different element to the North London club’s forward line. He has the ability to hold the ball up, but is far superior technically than their current target man Olivier Giroud.

There is sure to be a fierce battle for the Swede’s signature over the summer, and whoever ends up winning the race will undoubtedly be in a stronger position come the start of next season.
