Well, Everton have finally announced a deal to sign Allan – and some Liverpool fans on Twitter aren’t very happy about it.
Earlier today, the Toffees unveiled the former Napoli midfielder, who has signed a three-year deal with the Goodison Park club.
Allan cost £21.7 million [BBC Sport] and it’s the first of several high-profile deals expected to be completed by Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals, with Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez set to follow.
In contrast, the Reds have only spent £11 million on Kostas Tsimikas so far, a deputy for left-back Andy Robertson.
And some Liverpool fans on social media are unhappy at the moves their rivals are making, given their own lack of blockbuster signings.
There’s a month left in the transfer window, so Liverpool fans need not get too impatient, particularly because there is still speculation about Thiago going to Anfield.
The Premier League champions have been linked with a move for the Spain international on a near-daily basis for close to two months.
And if that one gets over the line then Everton’s business isn’t going to matter to them again.
