Ahmed Musa joined Leicester City for a club record fee of £18 million last week.
Leicester City’s new signing Ahmed Musa claims he is similar to Jamie Vardy in style
Leicester City new boy Ahmed Musa has compared himself to Jamie Vardy, saying he has lots of similar attributes to the England international forward, as reported by The Daily Mail.
He told the newspaper: “I think I am like Jamie Vardy. I have speed, I like to work hard, we are similar in lots of things. Am I faster? I can’t say yet, I have never played with him, but I am looking forward to finding out. I’m looking forward to playing with Vardy. I like his style. I think we can fit well together.”

The Nigerian international joined from CSKA Moscow last week and many are expecting a prolonged settling in period for him, due to the difference in intensity of the Premier League and the Russian top flight.
According too The Mail, the 23-year-old has already admitted being blown away by the speed of the Foxes’ training sessions.
‘When I started my first session I was thinking, “wow”,” he said. “I have never seen that in Russia but now I am getting used to it. The intensity here is quite different to Russia. Here it is a little bit harder, in Russia they are more laid back.”

Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri will be hoping the transition for Musa is a smooth one, and that he can forge a dangerous partnership with Vardy.
The one concern for Leicester fans is that if their playing styles are indeed as similar as the Nigerian claims, then they may not be the best pairing and Ranieri may have it in mind to use Musa in rotation with Vardy.
The former CSKA man can also play in wide or central attacking midfield areas, so maybe the Italian has one of those roles in mind for him. Either way, Musa will have to hit the ground running if he is to break into this exceptionally hard-working Leicester side.
