Joel Campbell completed his fifth loan move away from Arsenal after joining Sporting Lisbon last month.

Joel Campbell left Arsenal for Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan this summer, and the Costa Rican told Portuguese publication A Bola how he did not get the chance he feels he deserved at the Emirates.
When called upon last term, the 24-year-old performed admirably, and many Gunners fans were baffled by the decision by Wenger to loan him out, rather than either Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Theo Walcott.

Despite signing for Arsenal five years ago, Campbell has managed only 11 Premier League starts, and has been shipped out on five separate loan spells.
He believes he was more deserving of a chance in North London, however, telling A Bola:
“I think I deserved to play more after what I did last year, but now this is a new stage. I feel good, this is a new experience.”
Campbell’s work-rate and commitment to the cause was highly appreciated by Arsenal fans, and his technical ability is of a greater standard than he is actually given credit for.

It is hard to see Campbell ever getting the chance that he believes he deserves, with the amount of world-class options that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has at his disposal.
If he can impress for Sporting this season, however, especially in the Champions League, then he still may have a future at Arsenal.
