Nottingham Forest should consider signing ex-QPR man Alejandro Faurlin on a free transfer.

Alejandro Faurlin was released from Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season, after the club decided against offering the Argentine a new deal.
The 29-year-old free agent spent seven years at Loftus Road and would make a wonderful free signing for many clubs in need of a true footballing midfielder.
Nottingham Forest are a club crying out for a deep-lying play-maker and Faurlin would be absolutely perfect for the Reds.

The East Midlands club have seriously lacked a creative spark in the middle of the park, particularly over the last couple of seasons with Andy Reid’s absence.
Although Henri Lansbury chipped in with four goals and five assists in the Championship last term, he is a more of an attacking midfield type player, and Forest need someone to sit in front of the back-four and dictate the play, just like Reid used to do to such great effect.
With Faurlin’s availability on a free transfer, it would seem to be a no-brainer for Forest. The Argentine is a proven player at Championship level and would provide the perfect link between defence and attack for the Reds.

Forest boss Philippe Montanier is renowned in his home country for favouring an attacking, direct brand of football, which is heavily reliant on getting the ball forwards quickly with incisive passing out from the back.
The former QPR man would be the ideal signing to suit this system. He possesses a fantastic range of passing and his ability on the ball combined with his expert vision would enable him to act as the perfect foundation to the Forest midfield, from which most of their attacking play could stem.
Should a move come to fruition, it would give Faurlin the chance to once again prove his worth within the English game.
