Burnley are the bookies’ new favourites to sign Chelsea’s Patrick Bamford ahead of Aston Villa.

Popular bookmakers BETVICTOR have made Burnley the new 8/11 favourites in the race to sign Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford.
The 22-year-old has been at Chelsea since January 2012, but has failed to make a single first-team appearance for the Blues, spending six separate loan spells away from the club with five different teams.

BETVICTOR place Championship outfit Aston Villa second on the list at 4/1 to sign Bamford, ahead of previous favourites Celtic who have now drifted out to 8/1.
The Chelsea youngster is seen as a cultured footballer, but not necessarily a prolific striker. His most productive goalscoring campaign was while on loan at Middlesbrough during the 2014/15 season where he managed 17 goals in 38 appearances.
Patrick Bamford looks dejected
Burnley have plenty of fire-power in forward areas with the likes of Sam Vokes and Andre Gray amongst their ranks, but Bamford would offer them something a little bit different to what they already possess.
He would bring a certain level of guile and quality to their attacking play, and could link up fantastically with either Gray or Vokes.
Whatever happens, Bamford will surely feel that he needs to leave Chelsea on a permanent basis this season, with the opportunity of first-team football with the Blues looking increasingly less likely as every year goes by.
