Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has been linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs in recent months.
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku is the subject of intense transfer speculation
Chelsea have emerged as odds on favourites with bookmakers SkyBet to sign Everton powerhouse Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian star’s future has been the subject of intense speculation over the past month, with the player’s father claiming his son should join Manchester United or Bayern Munich to further his career, as reported by Sky Sports.
SkyBet make Lukaku odds on to join Chelsea this summer
Now betting company SkyBet have released new odds on the expected destination of the prolific hit man, with his former club Chelsea being touted as 8/13 favourites. Second favourites on the list at 3/1 are French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain and they will undoubtedly be looking for a replacement for the soon-to-be departed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Other clubs in contention for Lukaku’s signature according to the bookmakers are Manchester United at 9/1 and Arsenal at 18/1. A move to Old Trafford would seem unlikely though, considering the fact Jose Mourinho was the man who authorised the Belgian’s sale to Everton when he was in charge at Chelsea.
Lukaku is part of Belgium’s Euro 2016 squad
With Everton encompassing all that is mediocre over the past two seasons, someone of Lukaku’s talent and world-class potential cannot be blamed for wanting to move to a bigger club, and there is sure to be a clamour for his signature over the summer.
Amazingly, SkyBet place Leicester City as the ninth most likely club to sign Lukaku at 33/1, although following on from their 5000/1 Premier League title success, nothing should be ruled out anymore.
