Sheffield Wednesday have been made third favourites to sign Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes.
Middlesbrough’s Jordan Rhodes
BETVICTOR have slashed the odds on Sheffield Wednesday signing Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes, and made them third favourites at 6/1.
The Owls have had well documented problems with striker Fernando Forestieri, after the Italian refused to play against Norwich City.
Fernando Forestieri look dejected
Despite issuing an unreserved apology for his actions, and being re-immersed into the first-team, (Sky Sports), should the South Yorkshire outfit consider allowing Forestieri to leave, and bring in Rhodes as his replacement?
BETVICTOR list Wolverhampton Wanderers as 3/1 favourites with Norwich second in the running at 5/1.
Rhodes would be a fantastic acquisition to the Wednesday squad, and would almost certainly guarantee any side goals at Championship level.
Middlesbrough’s Jordan Rhodes in action
The Scotland international has scored an impressive 172 goals in 334 league outings throughout his career, and would surely be a more consistent, reliable option for Carlos Carvalhal rather than Forestieri, who despite his apology, quite clearly does not want to be at Hillsborough.
The Owls squad have a lot of potential this season, with expectation levels amongst the fans higher than it has been in a long time, and should they manage to sign Rhodes, they would be in a fantastic position to make a strong push for promotion to the promised land.
