Arsenal’s Theo Walcott has been cut to 5/1 to join Liverpool.

Bookmakers BETVICTOR have today slashed the odds on Arsenal forward Theo Walcott moving to Liverpool.
West Ham United are still favourites at 5/2, but the Reds have moved into 5/1 from double figures and are now priced as second favourites to sign the 27-year-old.
Walcott has been at Arsenal since 2006, but has failed to establish himself in the manner that many people thought he would.

He has managed to score just 85 goals in 343 appearances for the Gunners, and has struggled to gain regular first-team football of late due to him not being able to establish himself in a particular role within the team.
BETVICTOR have Leicester City down as 14/1 outsiders in the race for his signature, with the Foxes third in the list of favourites to sign Walcott.
While Liverpool have a wealth of attacking talent available, Walcott’s pace could suit the Reds’ style more so than it does Arsenal’s.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp likes to play a high intensity pressing game, and his teams are renowned for being direct in style while possessing the ability to break with pace.
Arsenal, on the other hand, place more importance on ball retention, with their play being based around a more meticulous build-up, rendering Walcott’s main asset – his pace – redundant for the majority of the time.
Much will depend on who the Gunners bring in before the transfer window closes, and if they do manage to land one of their prime targets, Walcott could find himself surplus to requirements in North London, with Anfield being the ideal escape route.
