Popular bookmakers SkyBet have made Liverpool new 2/1 favourites in the race to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, leapfrogging their fierce rivals Everton, who have drifted out to 5/2.
Hart is almost certain to leave the Etihad this summer, after being omitted from the starting line-up for City’s opening two Premier League games, and Claudio Bravo’s confirmed arrival from Barcelona (Sky Sports).
SkyBet list La Liga side Sevilla as third favourites in the running to sign Hart at 6/1.
England’s Joe Hart
The 29-year-old former Shrewsbury Town stopper has been a model of consistency for the Citizens over the past six years, but his performances of late have come under intense scrutiny following a series of high-profile individual errors, with his displays while on duty with England at Euro 2016 cause for particular concern.
Manchester City’s Joe Hart
Liverpool have already signed two goalkeepers this summer with Loris Karius Alex Manninger making their way to Anfield, although the former suffered a hand injury during the Reds’ pre-season tour of the United States at the end of July and was ruled out for up to two months, as reported by the Guardian.
Wherever Hart does eventually end up, the offer of guaranteed first-team football will surely be a major factor at this stage of his career, when deciding the destination of his next club.
