Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie could make a huge difference at a club like Tottenham Hotspur
Sports betting company BETVICTOR have made Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City joint favourites to sign Crystal Palace’s pacey winger Yannick Bolasie.
The bookmakers have the Congolese international at 2/1 to move to either White Hart Lane or the King Power Stadium this summer.
On the face of it, Bolasie would be a fantastic addition for both sides, but there seems to be a more pressing need for a player of his ilk at Spurs. The Foxes already have the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Marc Albrighton and Demarai Gray as wide attacking options, all bursting with pace and more than capable of providing a killer pass.
Tottenham, on the other hand, seemed to focus their passing and attacks through the middle for large portions of the season, and their only real wide attacking outlet came from their full-backs – Danny Rose and Kyle Walker. They became one-dimensional towards the end of the campaign and the addition of Bolasie, should a move come to fruition, would provide them with a far greater variety in their attacking options.

Bolasie is the type of player who could really enhance Tottenham’s already talented side, and provide variation in their attacking play, while also taking some of the creative burden off the shoulders of Christian Eriksen. The need for Mauricio Pochettino to add more attacking quality was discussed here on HITC last week, and the Palace star could be just the man to fill the void when their Danish play-maker is absent.

It will be an interesting summer full of transfer activity and Spurs will surely be heavily involved with their forthcoming participation in the Champions League highlighting the need to strengthen their squad.
Crystal Palace fans will not want to lose Bolasie, however, after he has established himself as a fan favourite following an impressive run of displays.
