Sissoko jets back to England to discuss potential move

Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko’s potential move to Tottenham has been up in the air over the past 12 hours, with the two clubs seemingly a long way apart in their respective valuation’s of the player.

Sky Sports are now reporting, however, that the Magpies would be willing to accept a bid of £30 million covered over five separate instalments of £6 million, and that Tottenham are cooling their interest as they are not willing to pay that much.

Sissoko’s valuation rocketed after his impressive showings for France at Euro 2016, but it is still unclear as to whether Spurs are willing to bid higher than the original £16 million offered.

The Togolese striker is reportedly in discussions with the Cottagers over a potential loan move, according to Sky Sports (Transfer Centre report 09:44 am).

The 32-year-old former Arsenal and Manchester City striker has been without a club since being released by Crystal Palace this summer.
