Speaking on Liverpool’s official YouTube channel, Naby Keita has been discussing Alisson Becker after he was picked in the FIFA 22 Team of the Season.
Alisson has, once again, enjoyed a remarkable campaign with the Reds. He’s single-handedly won his team a number of points, and if it weren’t for him, the quadruple would be a mere fantasy rather than a plausible reality.
The Brazilian has saved the Reds’ skin on numerous occasions, and Keita recognises just how important the goalkeeper is to the team.

Keita spoke about Alisson’s importance to this side.
“One against one, we need the score and Alisson always saves the team, he is the key to the team winning,” Keita said.
“He’s very important, even for the attack, when we start to attack the ball starts from Ali and that is very important,” Kostas Tsimikas added.
Where would they be without him?
Keita is absolutely right, Alisson is vitally important to this Liverpool team, and we have to wonder where the Reds would be without their number one.
Things got a bit ugly for a period in 2019/20 when Adrian had to step in for Alisson, eventually leading to an early Champions League exit for the Reds, and since then, Alisson has only continued to prove how key he is to this team.
Even against Aston Villa on Tuesday it was clear that Alisson is one of the Reds’ most important players, and if the Merseyside club are to win the title this season, they’ll have a lot to thank the Brazilian for.
