West Ham United manager David Moyes has made an interesting observation about Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah during corners, as quoted in The Times.
The former Manchester United boss has noted how Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp tends to approach defending a corner by keeping £34 million (BBC Sport) Salah on the edge of the box.
Moyes made the comments about the Liverpool and Egypt international forward while discussing how corners will play a role at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
England are aiming to win the World Cup in Qatar.
Egypt have not qualified, and neither have Scotland.
David Moyes on Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah
Moyes wrote: “Corners can be dangerous — for the attacking team. A lot of sides are now training to counterattack from corners: if they get first contact and break well, the opposition can be outnumbered.
“Some teams have players who even break on delivery: when Liverpool defend a corner, Mo Salah is always on the edge of the box and the second the ball comes in, he’s on his way up the pitch.
“When taking a corner, if you’re not aware and well organised, you can get caught.”

Back in form
While Mohamed Salah will be disappointed that he is not playing at the Qatar World Cup, he will be pleased with his form for Liverpool before the Premier League season paused.
The Liverpool no. 11 was scoring goals for fun before the World Cup break.
Salah started the season slowing and went through a disappointing spell.
But he is back in form now.
The 30-year-old has scored six goals and given three assists in 14 Premier League matches for Liverpool so far this season.
Salah has scored seven goals and provided one assist in five UEFA Champions League starts for the Merseyside club so far this campaign.
