Mohamed Elneny has posted a message to Mo Salah on Instagram by saying ‘always nice to see’ following Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Liverpool on Sunday.
Liverpool’s flyer on the right started the game, but just like his season so far, it was a game to forget for the struggling forward, who was subbed by manager Jurgen Klopp in the second half.
Elneny, on the other hand, wasn’t in the matchday squad yesterday because he is injured, but this was the image and message he sent to his fellow countryman today.
DON’T WRITE OFF SALAH
The Egypt international is looking like the shadow of the player that would rip apart any defence that has been put in front of him over the years.
Before signing a new contract in the summer, many Liverpool fans were eager for him to commit his future to the club, especially given that Sadio Mane was heading for the exit door to join Bayern Munich.
Many would have claimed that Salah staying put on Merseyside was perhaps the best piece of business the club could have concluded.
But, fast forward to the present, and it’s not looking too good in the Salah household because he is playing hide and seek, and at this moment in time, nobody can find him.
However, you should never write off a man of Salah’s qualities and it won’t be too long before he is dancing his way past a few defences, perhaps starting with Manchester City at the weekend?
Pep Guardiola’s side, in their current form compared to Liverpool’s, will be expected to demolish the Reds at Anfield, but given that many are expecting Erling Haaland to run rampant, this is a big chance for Klopp and his players to change their season around.
