Everton’s Yannick Bolasie took to Twitter to heap praise on Arsenal star Kieran Tierney after what happened at Elland Road on Sunday.

The Gunners were poor against Leeds United in the first half and things went from bad to worse after the break. Nicolas Pepe was involved in an off-the-ball incident with Ezgjan Alioski, and the Ivorian leaned in with his head.

The Leeds United star went to ground holding his face and Pepe was sent off for violent conduct. A red card was fully deserved and the Arsenal man can have no complaints about the decision.

However, Allioski did exaggerate the contact and that annoyed Tierney. The Scotsman did not react during the game but confronted the Macedonian after the final whistle. Players and staff had to pull him away in the end, but his reaction was loved by Arsenal supporters.

Gunners fans raved about Tierney’s reaction on social media after the game. Many praised his mentality and leadership to do what he did, and Bolasie joined the masses with a couple of tweets of his own.

Tierney has become a fan favourite at Arsenal. The Scotsman spent a lot of time on the sidelines due to injuries after his move from Celtic, but he has been one of the first names on the team sheet under Mikel Arteta.

This isn’t the first time Tierney has been praised for an angry reaction on the pitch. The defender showed this side of him on his European debut for Arsenal against Standard Liege over a year ago.

Mergim Vojvoda, who played for Liege last season, tackled Gabriel Martinelli which left the Brazilian on the floor in pain. Tierney was not happy with the challenge and had a real go at the Kosovan, and Arsenal fans loved that just like they loved his reaction against Allioski on Sunday.
