
Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are more than willing to see their club sign Olivier Giroud this summer.
The veteran France international is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of this season but, as he demonstrated in midweek, the 34-year-old has a lot to offer.
Giroud, an £18 million signing three years ago, scored a brilliant bicycle kick in helping the Blues to a Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.
And Tony Cascarino told talkSPORT on Wednesday that Liverpool should take a serious look at signing him during the summer, should he leave Stamford Bridge on a free.
Jurgen Klopp only has one out-and-out number nine in the form of Divock Origi and although Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota also represent central attacking options, they’re entirely different players to Giroud.
And suffice to say that some fans of the Premier League champions wouldn’t mind seeing the former Arsenal hitman arrive at Anfield.
