The Aston Villa manager has a large squad that he has to try and keep happy.

Villa boss Steve Bruce explained how keeping his fringe players happy is the hardest job that he faces, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star.
The Villans currently sit in fifth position in the Championship table, and it could be argued that they are in fact under achieving, considering the wealth of options that Bruce has at his disposal.
The 56-year-old took over at Villa Park in October 2016, but failed to guide his side to promotion last season.

He spent heavily over the last two transfer windows, and there have been definite improvements, although promotion is far from guaranteed this term.
Bruce has assembled a squad of great depth during his tenure, but he highlighted the potential pitfalls of having such a large group of talented players available to him, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“It is my hardest job. When the team is doing well, playing well, the ones who don’t play are always a problem. The ones you pick, they are no problem. It is the ones you don’t. Players want to play.”
Next up for Villa is a home game against sixth placed Sheffield United, before they make the trip to London to take on Brentford on Boxing Day, and Bruce will surely have to utilise his strength-in-depth, as his side head into the busy festive period.
