Liverpool produced one of the greatest nights in their history when they beat Barcelona at Anfield.

Alvaro Arbeloa has stated on Twitter that he hopes Liverpool will now go onto win the Champions League following their stunning comeback win against Barcelona on Tuesday night at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were 3-0 down from the first-leg at the Nou Camp – a game they didn’t deserve to lose – and they needed something special to book their place in the Champions League final for the reverse fixture.
With the vocal Anfield supporters behind them, the Reds scored four goals without any response from the opposition to seal quite a remarkable win.
After the match, Arbeloa sent this message on his personal Twitter account as his former club are now aiming to win their sixth European Cup.
In the first leg, many felt that the Merseyside club were pretty unlucky to lose the game by the three-goal margin that they did. Lionel Messi was the difference on the night when he netted a stunning free-kick in the second half.

During the second leg, the little magician couldn’t push his team over the line, but he did have a number of good chances to find the back of the net.
The Reds will now await the winner of Ajax and Tottenham, with the Dutch club leading Mauricio Pochettino’s side 1-0 going into their game in Holland on Wednesday night.
Last May, Klopp’s side were beaten by Real Madrid in the final and they will be hoping to go one better by lifting their sixth European trophy this time around.
