West Ham United will face Chelsea in the fourth round of the EFL Cup next month.

West Ham United summer signing Alvaro Arbeloa has suggested on the club’s official website that he is looking forward to playing against Chelsea in the EFL Cup.
The Hammers will face Premier League rivals Chelsea in the fourth round of the EFL Cup at the London Stadium next month.
Arbeloa, who joined West Ham in the summer transfer window on a free after leaving Spanish giants Real Madrid at the end of last season, is looking forward to the tie.

The 33-year-old full-back has played against Chelsea on a number of occasions when he was on the books of Merseyside outfit Liverpool.
“I think it is a really good game for us and our supporters,” Arbeloa told West Ham’s official website. “You always want to play against one of the best clubs and Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs.
“I have had some really good games playing against them so it will be good for all the players. I have some friends at Chelsea and I am sure we will see a really good game.”

Playing at time will give West Ham an advantage, but Chelsea have the better team and should probably be considered as favourites.
The Hammers are not in good form at the moment, but one suspects that manager Slaven Bilic will get things right eventually.
Chelsea are one of the favourites to win the Premier League title this season.
A top-four finish for West Ham is probably beyond reach, but the London outfit should be pushing for a place in the Europa League.
