British agent Haydn Dodge has told CaughtOffSide that Tottenham Hotspur could make a bid for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the summer transfer window.
Dodge has said that Tottenham want to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer of 2023 and have Sevilla’s Yassine Bounou on their radar.
Spurs could also try to sign the £307,000-a-week (SalarySport) Slovenia international goalkeeper Oblak from La Liga club Atletico, according to the agent.

Dodge said: “In defence, a change of goalkeeper is inevitable. Hugo Lloris is 36 years old and with inconsistencies and injuries creeping into his game, Spurs have already started looking for a new number one.
“I know Sevilla’s Yassine Bounou is right at the top of their list so I expect them to try and do something there in the summer.
“I’d also expect Jan Oblak to come into the picture considering Spurs’ strong relationship with Atletico Madrid.”
Exciting
In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur are able to bring Jan Oblak to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer transfer window, then it would be a very good and exciting signing.
Oblak is one of the best goalkeepers in the world who has been linked with Manchester United in the past.
The Slovenian is at the top of his game at the age of 30 and would just walk into the Tottenham first team.
However, we do not think that Spurs would be able to sign the goalkeeper.
First of all, Oblak is on a massive salary at Atletico.
Then there is the small matter of the goalkeeper himself being tempted to move to Tottenham.
Yes, Spurs are playing in the UEFA Champions League this season, but there is no guarantee that the Premier League club will play year after year in the competition.
Atletico regularly compete for the La Liga title and play in the UEFA Champions League.
Moreover, Oblak has a contract at Atletico until the summer of 2028.
So, the Spanish club will surely ask for a hefty transfer fee.
And we know that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy does not like spending big.
